No one's been "Run off the board."

Ace and Broooklyn have only popped in occasionally for 2 or 3 years now, Dusty has been on the site continuously for years under different names (yes, even very recently), and musicalprostitute last logged in this morning.

Even you keep logging in to say that you're not here.

Next?

Anna's here too!
Greetings WeeMann and action.
What shall we talk about? Has everyone read the biographies out there? What was your favorite? I really enjoyed the one written by Peter Freestone and also the one written by Peter Hince. Haven't read the one written by Jim Hutton tho'. Has anybody else?

Funnily enough my mate has had my Peter Hince book for about 3 years and only returned it at the weekend. Must read it again. The Hutton one is definitely worth a read.

I have to say I found the Hutton biography very bitter sweet as a fan: although it was wonderful to read about the side of Freddie we hardly knew (the real off-stage Freddie), I feel that Jim revealed far too much in that book and I seriously wonder if that is something Freddie would have wanted (I mean, some of the details of his dying were just too much; and I doubt that such a private and proud person like Freddie would have wanted the world to know he pissed himself at the end, etc. Too much).

I just think that many do not want to visit here as often anymore because of all the shit that has gone down in recent times - it is just not a welcoming place these days. I still visit regularly enough - and try and add a bit here and there to some posts (as I think it is important to help keep this place going in one way or another); I do not agree with some of the mods on here or how they have treated some of us (as you know), but there aint no way I will not visit this site (quiet as it is!) after all these years just because of a couple of individuals who attempt to put words in my mouth and dictate to me.

Glad to see you are still around, Action. :)

Just curious. Has anyone visited the "Ask Phoebe" site where Peter Freestone answers questions and shares memories of Freddie? It's cool, kinda bittersweet. Many people ask some interesting questions. It's a nice blog site.

I know of it but have not visited it much. I like Phoebe - he always comes across as a sweet, good natured soul...

...and he must have had the patience of a saint to deal with Freddie's demands on a daily basis!
