And nothing will ever change over there. It might be a terrorist attack but if not there will be people claiming that the guy who did it actually didn't do it. Just like the shooting in Vegas.

The world is in quite some state right now. I don't know where this will all end...

I'm watching CNN report on the shooting live, it's devastating and scary.
I'm scared about how things are going.

Now George Takei is being accused of sexual assault. This is getting out of hand. Or can all of this really be true about ALL of them? Every time I get online, every day, someone else is being accused. Unbelievable!

Well, it's going to happen, isn't it?

It's a bandwagon many will jump on, both those it's really happened to, and the odd opportunistic group of people looking to make a fast buck, or get their fifteen seconds of fame.

Apparently some people are threatening to boycott Tesco because they featured a Muslim family in their Christmas advert.

He's a Democrat so he's being attacked for that? I certainly hope not. He's just a huge legend. He doesn't need this kind of crap and it's like now, if you even try to kiss someone who decides they don't like it, they scream sexual assault. Completely ridiculous.

Australia have voted to legalise same-sex marriage:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-41992344

Great news.
Look at the wording though. ‘Non-binding vote’. That is how a grown-up country runs a referendum. I fully expect that Australia will now legalise gay marriage, but by setting clear boundaries at the start, they avoid hysterical hand-waving and cries of “the people have spoken!”.

And of course their people have chosen togetherness over division, because their voters behave like adults.

If our referendum had been non-binding, Brexit would not happen (it probably won't anyway) for that very reason. That then leads to the question of why there would be a referendum in the first place? It seems rather insulting to ask for a national opinion on a matter and then not use it because the answer was 'wrong'.

If the Brerxit vote had gone the other way and the Brexiteers were campaigning for another vote, the Remainers would be saying, 'the people have spoken'...where is the difference?

You do a referendum to see if there’s a consensus. The Brexit referendum showed that there isn’t really one.

On this occasion it was quite clear at the outset that it would decide the issue.

The EU could stop all of this if they really wanted to. Return it to a 'common market' and no one would disagree.

Brexit will happen but you only have to look at how the Government is divided to realise what a mess it could be. We have ministers who want to leave demanding the best deal for Britain from the rest of Europe. We are the ones who wanted to take our ball home. Now it looks like we want to take their goalposts and nets too. Talk about having your cake and eating it.

I don't see Brexit happening. I see another election within months. I'm never wrong either. ;)
