Wow! It’s quite worrying, but at least Trump might stop claiming that everyone’s out to get him.

The McDonald’s story rumbles on...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-42242272

Maybe she should back down now. They’ve apologised and suspended the security guard involved.

Incidentally no one involved has claimed there were ever any security concerns. That’s just something apologists elsewhere have said.

I agree. An apology should suffice and maybe the security guard will be in trouble. Should he be sacked? Maybe not but he should be forced to undertake some training to help him deal with similar situations in the future.

I’ve just re-read the article and security concerns are literally cited in the first paragraph.

Selective vision from me there!

How do you know she is not British? Nothing in that link hints at is she is or isn't.

JLP, I think you are possibly mistaking me for someone who actually gives a fuck? I honestly feel nothing for her or her plight. Sorry, but that's the truth....even if it does excite you.

The world is a fucked up place. We have a leader in the far East who seems hell bent on antagonising the leader of the most powerful nation on Earth. The leader of that nationwide hell bent on pissing off anyone or anything that dare disagree with him. He also seems hell bent on pissing off the Arab world by saying Jerusalem is the capital of Isreal. We have a group of loonies who seem hell bent on blowing people up and we have a group of extreme MPs who want to derail the most democratic decision ever made by the population of the UK.

Someone push the button FFS and allow the apes to take over.
Come on you Tigers.

I’m not sure I agree with that description. The DUP are blocking proposals for Northern Ireland to remain in the free trade area, effectively remaining in the EU. If the only concern here is making sure that 52% of 70% get what they want, then it’s actually the Tories trying to derail that, and the DUP trying to deliver it.

That’s not why they they’re doing it of course, and the population of Northern Ireland voted very strongly against Brexit.

None of this has anything to do with democracy any more. And I don’t think the decision was a particularly democratic one, because the question was incredibly broad, and the details will end up being extremely specific. A minority of the electorate picked a general direction for th country to head in. How we get there will be determined by party politics, squabbling, unbalanced coalitions with disproportionate power, the media, and who knows what else. We might have democratically decided to go on holiday, but we won’t be democratically deciding where we’re going.
