What happens if we 100% legalise drugs?

This is the place for topical debate and discussion about anything in the world (non-Queen related).

Maybe there is a flatrate then - buy 9 gramm of cocain and get one free. :D
TBH I never understand discussions like that - drugs kill and should NEVEREVER be legalised!

The typical peer pressure then ? I never understand that why someone cannot say "No". Fear of being uncool? If I do not like sth I stay away from it and if my "friends" say that I am a dumbass by not taking drugs/alcohol then I can find better "friends" - plain and simple.

A very sweeping statement there.

Marijuana is one of the best drugs in controlling asthma and relieving the pain of arthritis.

One of the major problems with drugs such as cocaine is the impurities that it is cut with, reducing the potency, but increasing the risk of problems.

If drugs were legalised/decriminalised and controlled, marijuana could become a very useful drug (whose side effects are not as serious as those of alcohol) and others could be safer.

I have been told by my doc(unofficially like) to take some Marijuanna for my Arthritis as i have it in its severest form.I dont, myself, touch drugs. But i can understand people who suffer pain who do take drugs to help ease their pain.

If they legalise drugs then the possibilities are that the big cigarette firms might start introducing "stronger"cigarettes.

What do you think?

I can't stay to see you die along with my tribe's pride

If nothing else, it gives the government a chance to regulate it.

Ultraviolet, I was in a madrigal choir in high school, so getting a place at the cool table has obviously never been a priority for me! :P And as I said in a previous post, I've never used an illegal drug in my life, -and I wouldn't even if it were legal. I'm not a hooker, but I also think prostitution should be legalised, for a lot of the same reasons. (To clarify that, I mean adult women working for an escort service, not traumatized trafficked Thai tweens.)

And that from a person who gets insulted because someone jokingly referred to his country being a "Womble".

:?

The "being insulted" part was also meant as humour. Here's the clue:

I can stop hiding my stash everytime the Old Bill turn up at the house. :)

Seriously, drugs should be legal and freely available for everyone over a certain age - say, 18. What right has someone else to say I can't take whatever poison I want to fill my body with? It's bleeding ludicrous. And completely hypocritical.
