Thanks for posting that, icy. I haven't seen another soul say a word about it. Strange!

One of our TV, cable channels dedicated a full day's screening to 9/11, still shocking some 16 years later.

I don't know what they did here because the rest of the household was dead set on their usual daily binges of sci fi movies and video games. :?

Another Hurricane brewing up in the Atlantic, only a cat 3 at the moment, but Maria is on her way towards the Leeward Islands in the Caribbean., lets hope she's not as devastating as the last 3.

God help them! They've already lost power in Puerto Rico. The people are terrified. The storm is not set to actually hit land until Wednesday! :-(

Inny, do they broadcast a show called The Sixties in the USA? Being shown over here. Episodes have focussed on the Cuba crisis, JFK assassination, Vietnam War and the Civil Rights campaign as well as one on TV in the sixties. Fascinating stuff.

I have never heard of it but that doesn't mean it isn't broadcast. My ex owns the house, the TV and is the sole person responsible for choosing programming and the only thing he wants is crazy sci-fi stuff that I'm not interested in. I can find an awful lot online, myself, though.

I do have a TV in my bedroom that has completely different channels that broadcast some very interesting materials. Today after I got up, they were running a program about black people in Chicago around the 1920s and showing various composers and performers from opera and other musical venues and showing a lot of the actual performances. They also showed interviews. All of these people were women and they were so gifted and wonderful musicians. I wish the young people of today would watch what these women accomplished because they were so talented and had such determination to be perfectionists at what they did. I'm sure a lot can be found out about these women and this period in time, online.

As for me, I am very busy working on my family genealogy, again, and just found out my 3rd Great Grandfather was also in the Civil War, for the north, out of Pennsylvania and when he died, he was buried with honors and given a military gravestone. There's more about him (I've known about him for 30+ years and did have a photo of him) but I didn't know this about him. I can probably find out a lot more through the Veteran's Administration. This is history, too!

So to answer you, briefly, no, I didn't know about the program you mention.
