In the news today (North American version)

This is the place for topical debate and discussion about anything in the world (non-Queen related).

Gee, I made a suggestion just like fd did about things. ;)
I'm not saying the Trump talk is off topic. There's plenty of it, that's what I'm saying.

One thread for all news will suffice.

Ok.

That's Australian related , should be in the original news thread, not in here
:-P ;)

But what the heck. What's the story about Bawa Garba?

If Justin Trudeau was the President of the United States, I would have nothing to complain or post about! But we have a Russian puppet undermining our democracy and I’m not very happy about it!

It’s actually a UK thing, but when you googled it it’s possible that an Australia story came up because it has created shockwaves across the world.

Basically in an understaffed hospital with a broken IT system, a doctor who hadn’t had an induction to a hospital was delayed in her recognition of a deteriorating child, who died. She was found guilty of manslaughter and struck off the medical register. The medical profession has quite rightly gone apeshit.

There’s more to it. I’ll express my opinions as they become pertinent...

Can you post more about it when you are able? I'm interested in it and your opinions about it.

Justin Trudeau isn't so perfect. Some things I feel that I wanted to bring up about him, but I didn't because I cannot post links and it would have likely have been overlooked by the constant Trump discussions.
I tried a few pages back to shift the discussion, because I didn't want things to get ugly. It didn't work to say the least.

After Mueller indicts Trump and he is safely behind bars, we can complain about Trudeau!

Excuse me. Do I have to ask your permission to bring up other topics, in here? I think not. This thread wasn't made in mind to be all about politics.
I think what has happened and will happen to the Turpin children is very important. Not an easy subject to discuss, I know.

This is a reasonable summary:

http://54000doctors.org/blogs/an-accoun ... garba.html

I mean, a young kid died. That’s the tragic fact at the heart of this story that shouldn’t be forgotten.

But the GMC has acted in a totally ludicrous way. Striking her off and ruining her career FOREVER is completely disproportionate.

Happy to answer questions about jargon in the above article, but remember, I’m just a lay-person.

You always say this, so I have to ask: why is this the case? I have used many tablets, and with every one I have used, I was able to post links. Just go to the address bar, and press and hold; a pop up should now be presented saying "copy". Press that, and then in your reply field, just press and hold. Now you will be given the pop-up option to "paste". Done.

Thanks, will give that a try soon. But you know me a tad enough to know I'm an idiot when it comes to tech stuff ;)

Going by what's in that link, I don't think charging her with manslaughter is the answer.
And what is the answer, I don't know but manslaughter...it seems very extreme.

This is the nonsense we have to put up with every morning in the U.S.:

“@realDonaldTrump
This memo totally vindicates “Trump” in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on. Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!“
