A Little Perspective. Jason Becker.

Postby WeeMann » Thu Oct 27, 2011 7:58 am

It may just be me, but every time I log on here, all I seem to see is people moaning about how there's a bass drum missing here, a glitch there, we need all the archives released tomorrow, it's not fair that I don't have a Bluray player, etc.

Try watching this, then tell me these things are worth a toss. True inspiration:

I would pass a comment on how truly inspiring/talented/wonderful/moving that is, but it may come across as complaning.

He's an inspirational person for sure, but I'm not sure it's fair to slag off people for concerning themselves with, in comparison, trivial issues. Every day we turn on the news and see things that put the activities of a largely defunct rock group into perspective. And no, in comparison they of course aren't worth a toss - but you could apply that argument to so many things. In comparison, nothing in the entertainment industry is as important as real life. However, within the context of being a fan of the band, some of those things do take on a degree of importance, and they do mean something to some people.

Great post, pic . I was thinking about posting something along those lines(and very nearly did just that) but I run the risk of it 'being all about me' or 'complaining'.

I wasn't aware of this guy until classic rock ran a story on him two months ago. been cheking him out since and the guy was / is a massive talent for sure. How sad to see someone become victim of this illness :(
His will to live is incredible - and he's beating all odds as I understand it.

the upcoming documentary is bound to be emotional to say the least.
