It really does, it made me shudder after reading the links if I can be honest. Stories like this or to a lesser extent happen often. Could happen, should not happen to anyone!

This, and also the current controversy about the SOPA/PIPA bills as well as the closure of MegaUpload, are reminders that many of the world's legal systems haven't properly adapted to the internet. Crimes can be committed across international borders and online relationships can turn into real-life crimes. I'm sure there'll be many more stories like this in the future, as well as a host of new words and terms to describe the behaviours of people online.

(Disclaimer: In a moment of uncharacteristic optimism, I'm not going to post a disclaimer)

Thats the thing about the internet tho.You dont know who you are talking to.But then,i suppose its the same whichever you use.
I take only what is mine Lord, my pony, my squaw, and my child
I can't stay to see you die along with my tribe's pride
I go to search for the yellow moon and the fathers of our sons
Where the red sun sinks in the hills of gold and the healing waters run

I agree. Strongly. I don't know or expect everyone to agree with what I am about to say, but one reason I am glad places like this have admins/mods. Not that I expect or even want to be wrapped in cotton wool, but it's good that admins/mods can be trusted here.

The problems of online meetings, people can be fake until the bone, but also people you meet offline. I remember communicating with two girls who were quite interesting online, but offline... bah...

Lino, you have been a part of QOL for quite some time. Have you ever met anyone from here?
