Brian May told to butt out of the badger battle

This is the place for topical debate and discussion about anything in the world (non-Queen related).

I'm starting to wish for a Brian May cull, 'cos he's getting on my tits now.

I was! He's switched me off to the point that I won't read anything he says about badgers now (the very opposite of what he wants). It's admirable that he sticks up for animals, but brianmay.com is just misery nowadays..let's face it, we don't go there for wildlife, we go there because he's the guitarist with Queen.

Yeah it's difficult, because he has to use his website to make save me as visible as it can be, but then it makes usual readers not want to read it.

If he says that David Cameron is leading a new kind of conservatism one more time though, I will email him and say if he's voted for Conservative even once, in his lifespan, then the three possible people he voted in could be Cameron's illegitimate sires. This isn't new, he was just wrong for forty years. :P

I've just realised...the letter to Brian and reply from him is very much like a QOL spat .

I totally agree with what Brian is doing and why shouldn't he use his position to promote something that he believes in. He's not just a musician, he's a scientist and an animal rights advocate, amongst many other things, and this is something he feels very passionate about. It's not just about Brian though, any of us who care about wildlife in this country should be against this cull. They are going ahead with the cull even though there is no scientific evidence supporting it. In fact there has already been an experimental cull in which 11,000 badgers were killed and the result was that killing badgers cannot meaningfully contribute to the problem of bovine TB in cattle. It's totally pointless slaughter IMO. So please sign the petition even if you don't agree with what Brian is doing. At least if the petition can get 100,000 signatures it could be debated in the House of Commons.

An interview with the editor of 'Farmers Weekly'. I like the way he brings her up on not answering questions. Just like a politician.

I'm not personally joining any sort of campaign against this, but I abhor animal cruelty and you can tell by Brian's body language that so does he, passionately. He really gave that woman some cracking evils.

"I'm sorry Brian, but that's just not true"

Lol.

I love this quote.

"EATING BADGERS

I think we should seriously consider eating senseless people like this Clarissa whoever-she-is.

She's obviously outlived her usefulness. I wonder if she should be boiled or braised …

Have two thanks, it's bugged me for the last two weeks that you'd given out one more thanks than you'd received.
