Baroness Thatcher Dies

This is the place for topical debate and discussion about anything in the world (non-Queen related).

Well, I won't think badly. I've seen local working men drinking it as breakfast in the morning. And some people ask me "can I take a barrel home?"

Good, because I wouldn't want to look bad for Lino.
Those guys must be tough...I hope they had breakfast with it.

People shouldn't take the estimated cost of her funeral to heart. For instance, the 700+ servicemen and women involved. Our forces don't get paid for overtime, and so would still be costing whatever their portion of the x million is, whether they were escorting a coffin through London, shooting the Taliban, or sat at home watching the TV.

The police are a similar situation, in that they get used for absolutely loads of events on a daily basis, and nobody even bats an eyelid that the taxpayer is either completely footing the bill, or partially subsidising it. Football matches, state visits, stc. etc.

Ironically, estimating the viewing figures, and money changing hands for global news feeds on the event, the TV companies probably won't do bad out of it.

Aaaaw! That means they won't see her hand poking out the coffin giving them the middle finger.
