You can certainly see why the Tories (so including Paxman obviously. :roll: ) are doing it, it's putting massive pressure on Labour should the Conservatives end up with a majority. It could even influence a potential deal, if the Lib Dems turned Labour down feeling a pact between them wouldn't be trusted, because of this stupid spin.

That's terrible that people have been turned away. They could have let the people waiting vote even if it did go over 10pm.

It sounds like the problem is that the exit polls were published at 10pm, so could theoretically influence voters waiting to vote.

Solution - don't release exit polls at 10pm!
