The only thing that would have topped this would be Trump in the car.

I thought it was incredible! The Saturn V rocket beats it hands down in terms of the numbers but what was special about this was the landing of the two booster rockets. It was like watching the tape being played backwards! Remarkable achievement. I hope I see a manned mission to Mars in my lifetime.

This was not the first time the booster rockets have returned. They have tested that procedure several times last year which is a pretty remarkable feat. My daughter and family live 50 miles west of Kennedy Space Center and can watch these launches from their driveway.

Also remarkable is that Bowie’s Life On Mars is playing on a loop while the red roadster orbits the earth!

You’re lucky :-). Was always a dream of mine to watch a Shuttle launch but it wasn’t to be. If/when we start getting the high profile rocket launches I’ll be there. Got Cape Canaveral pencilled In in the next year or two. What’s your experience of it?

They moved there in 2015. Kennedy Space Center is a moving place to experience. I cried like a baby when I saw the actual Atlantis space shuttle on our first visit, well worth the $50 admission. Last year we went on the bus tour of the launch pads at Cape Canaveral. The launches that are seen from their driveway is once the rockets are airborne, not from ground level.

Phenomenal footage. Such a beautiful rocket design. The landings of both boosters, is in my opinion, the most impressive part.

~Godspeed little one~
~Don't talk about angels
Or how I'll be saved
I'm no coward
But I'm not that brave
Rags are blowing
Rain's getting near
I'm done with running
And it's getting dark in here~

~Sleep in peace old friend for me you'll never die~
