What a roller coaster of a night, but hell it was worth it, Ian and Amy who don't like football have seen a grown man cry and are both now deaf  just totally amazed and happy :)

Sorry to all spurs fans.

Happy for you!

The funny thing was.As soon as Bayern scored their goal,i immediately thought of 1999 when they did the same thing to Manchester Utd.And Manchester Utd scored twice in injury time in that game.I kinda thought that Chelsea would do something similar.Or bring the game into extra time and penalty kicks. :D

Well odne to Chelsea and their fans. We watched the game in the pub. The table in front of us were doing high fives early in the penalty shoot out. Not a murmur at the end. Fuck knows who they "support" normally.
Come on you Tigers.

My team Académica is playing today at the final of the Portuguese cup, after 43 years, against Sporting Lisbon! :onfire:
Chelski didn't deserve to win yesterday, Bayern did much more to win... penalties are so unfair!!

advantage of the result: we have 3 teams in the Champions League group stage: Porto, Benfica and Braga!

they are only unfair when the team you favour loses.

Whilst I can only imagine how the fans and players of BM must feel given the chances they had, ultimately football isn't a beauty competition, it isn't even about how many opportunities a team make. There's only one statistic that really counts, and Chelsea were on top when it comes to how many times the ball went into the net. They therefore deserved the win.

It's unfair due to the input Bayern gave throughout the match. Chelski was plain lucky.

My team Académica won the Portuguese Cup and we're on the group stage of Europa League!! :onfire:

Chelsea were not "plain lucky" they had a game plan to close down and tighten up the defence giving Bayern fewer chances, what chances they had they wasted, and the further the match went on the more Chelsea came into the game and the game opened up, but Bayern still wasted all but one chance. Yes we rode our luck but our game plan worked better than Bayerns, the penalty shoot out is just a lottery and any one can win that.

Congrats to your team :)

How is it unfair? Although Bayern made plenty of chances, their forwards looked incapable of shooting on target. That's not Chelsea's fault. Was Chelsea's goal unfair? No, just like Bayerns. Was it unfair that Chelsea won the penalty shoot-out? No, they scored more than BM. Whilst Chelsea's tactics weren't pretty, they had to adapt as they'd lost several key players for the match and they did what they needed to do.

this victory of ours was very special. We won it in 1939, in the first edition, and today :onfire:

Well done Chelsea, its always nice to see a English club get one over the Germans, just wish the national team could follow suit more often.
