Balotelli, what a complete dick, and with such disrespect for his team mates and manager.

bollocks. It was a friendly, why not do something entertaining in a game that doesn't actually matter?

So Villa sell Downing for 20 million and buy N'Zogbia for less than half that  very good piece of business is that.

Friendly or not, people still paid money to go and see Manchester City and may have wanted them to win. Doing something like that is showing disrespect to the people who have paid to come and see you play. It wasn't even like he tried to score from the back heel - it was a poor, half arsed attempt.

Yeah I reckon Villa did OK there. Saying that Im happy we got Downing, he was Villas player of the year after all and has got a first class end product which Carroll should thrive on. Im just happy the owners are backing the manager. We'll be doing some selling now before we buy anyone else, CB and/or LB perhaps. Im worried about Gerrard as I keep hearing his groin isnt healing as expected.

Roll on Sunderland!

Stevie G won't get a look in now that the mighty Charlie Adam has signed for Liverpool. :P

Anyone who cares about the result of a pre season friendly is a fucking imbecile. I couldn't give a monkey's chuff how many Barca put past Utd next week - all that matters is that the players gain fitness and don't get injured. The board care about their share of the gate (if any). If the attendees are expecting anything other than an exhibition game, they've misunderstood the situation.

Plus, at the end of the day, isn't it all about entertainment?

I never said that though. What I said was Balotelli was obviously showing that he didn't care about the people who had paid their hard earned money to come and watch him play (and effectively pay part of his obscene wages). All he cared about was trying to show off, and even then he failed as he put no effort into the back heel whatsoever.

Dont get me wrong.I like to see guys showboating. But not at the expense of his own teammates.

He deserved to get substituted.
I take only what is mine Lord, my pony, my squaw, and my child
I can't stay to see you die along with my tribe's pride
I go to search for the yellow moon and the fathers of our sons
Where the red sun sinks in the hills of gold and the healing waters run
