Hamilton fastest in both practice sessions today - in P1 it was from Button and P2 from Raikkonen. Looking promising for the weekend - he needs a good result to keep in touch in the championship.

Getting pole today will help - Vettel only third after being pushed out by Grosjean in the last few seconds.

Great race? Absolute dullness personified. Hungary is the worst track on the calendar and needs to be dropped asap!

First race i've watched start to finish for ages, really enjoyed it, Hamilton was near perfect, but Lotus are very close to their first win i'd have thought.

I thought it was a pretty good race. There have certainly been worse ones so far this season.

The Hungoring is possibly best summed up on the Live In Budapest video (I'm pretty sure that's the place Roger went to in his little section)... as a semi decent go-kart track. Formula One wise, I think it's reputed to be just behind Monaco as being 200 miles of follow the leader.

Great race today and great result for Jenson.

Grosjean's been banned from the next race for causing the crash at the start:

Made up for Button, it looked like I meant a lot to him, plus it was great hearing him talk on the podium.

And understandable about Grosjean, it may not have been intentional but it was definitely reckless and could've been a lot worse.

I thought a ban was harsh, but then I read that he's been involved in 7 first lap crashes in 12 races this season

Same, I actually quite like him, but you can't really ignore a statistic like that.

Banning Grosjean doesn't really help Alonso or Hamilton though (the latter of whom could really do with points if he is to stand a serious chance at the title), apart from meaning that at least they won't get taken out by one of Roman's (w)reckless (lol) manouevres.

Well no, but what else can they do? They can't really arbitrarily award Alonso and Hamilton some points after the fact. It's unfair that they got taken out, but that's the way it is (and the way it has to be, really). Hamilton got taken out by Maldonado at Valencia. It was unfair and it hurt Hamilton's championship chances, but you can't just give him some points because it wasn't his fault he crashed, because no one can say for sure what would've happened next if he'd continued on. It's the way it has to be really.
