Come on C. Ronaldo, he is the best player now in PL :P

Tottenhams midfield looks as strong as any in the league , and in Eriksen it looks like they've got another gem.

There are several things about this silly man's opinion that annoy me:

1) It's pure speculation
2) If it's based on his personal experience, there's an undertone of arrogance, that he thinks he can handle it but others can't
3) It propagates the myth that there has to be a 'reason' for suicide - some people just feel that way and can't help it; being called a wanker has nothing to do with it
4) It assumes referees are always the victims. What if David Beckham had killed himself in 1998 after his red card against Argentina?

Whatever Ronaldo can do one night, Messi can match it the following night, what a pair of great footballers.

Can someone tell me why Rooney and Sturridge were fit to play for their clubs a matter of days after they were unavailable for England?
Come on you Tigers.

Because they had miraculous recoveries in the 4/5 days after the international

I wish Hodgson had the players to be able to drop both players for the next two games.

After the FA had to pay Newcastle millions in compensation for Michael Owen's injuries sustained while playing for England, they just can't afford to let their manager take any risks unless it's absolutely vital. To be fair, Rooney may have played for Utd having missed a recent international through injury, but he also played against Scotland having missed a Utd game through injury. I have no doubt that clubs encourage their players to exaggerate injuries to avoid international duty, but a huge number of players are playing while carrying multiple little niggles, any of which can flare up for a short period of time.

As an aside, I think legal medication abuse is a time bomb waiting to go off in football.

Some surprising results in the Premier League today, Liverpool losing at home to Saints, and Newcastle losing at home to Hull City, well done the underdogs. ;)

We played really well by what I saw on Sky and deserved the victory. Still early days of course but we look far more comfortable this time around, even taking in the start we made the first season.
