I got quite emotional during the national anthem by the way. That was when it sunk in that we were in a FA Cup final.

So van Gaal is at last named new Man United coach, he's signed a 3 year contract and will have Giggsy as assistant, he'll take over at Old Trafford after the World Cup.

Just when you thought transfers had reach the ridiculous stage, up pops an outrageous fee for a very mediocre player  well done Chelsea, you offloaded a liability and doubled your money, brilliant business.

10 man QPR beat Derby County at Wembley 1-0 with a 90th minute Zamora goal to reach the Premier League, gutted for Derby, well done Rangers.

yeah well done QPR. Flaunt the fair play rules and get promotion. Apparently they will be fined but the Football League might not be able to claim the money as they are a Premier League club.

what a fail by Casillas.... forza Atlético!

To think that my team beat Atlético 2 years and a half ago, with Simeone and 2 current players who are on the pitch today.... :D

nerve wrecking end... and Atlético have gone down....
Atlético played better until the 90th minute or so.... Real saved their batteries for the final part, so it seems....
4-1, Atlético didn't deserve this AT ALL!

Having read various arguments, I don't think these FFP rules are appropriate; I think foreign investment should be encouraged, not punished. However, I do agree that clubs should be encouraged to manage their finances responsibly. Heavy fines won't achieve that. Those who can afford them will just carry on, and those who can't will have their problems exacerbated, which is surely the opposite to the intention of the rules. Surely the best way to punish clubs is points deductions.

Well done Real Madrid, worthy winners.
For all the good work Simone did this season he threw it all away in the final, first by starting with a injured player and wasting a substitution, and secondly for showing just what a sore loser he is, as all Argies are, once a knobhead always a knobhead.

Odd thing to say.

In completely unrelated news, I see Patrice Evra has signed a one-year extension.

Happy to see Simeone has been charged with improper conduct by Uefa , so that'll be a nice touchline ban for him.

Southampton and England striker Rickie Lambert will have a medical at Liverpool on Saturday after the clubs agreed a fee of about £4m plus add-ons.

Good signing by Rogers, Lambert will be a useful addition to his squad.

Looks like Southampton are cashing in on last seasons success, the manager has already gone, now Lambert, and Lallana and Shaw will leave soon, also there seems to be interest in Saints defender Lovren too.
The fans must be fuming.
