Spurs fell back to earth at the weekend, getting bumped 3-0 at home to West Ham, didn't see that coming.

Its a crazy rule, and many times a guilty player has walked away with no ban just because an official says he saw the incident  that official should be repremanded for not carrying out his duties then.

I agree. I read somewhere, imagine the outcry if a certain player had done what Torres did.

You have to consider who the victim was and which team he played for.

I believe RVP became the all time leading scorer too.

Big match tonight for English fans, England v Poland
I just think the other day the Poles had very little to play for and we should win easily, now they have 18,000 fans cheering them on thanks to OUR FA  , i'm sure it'll lift their game :? we could do with scoring quickly to quieten them a little, the longer we go goalless the harder the task will be, i don't fancy a play off, were we could play France, Portugal or Sweden.

England 2-0 Poland
Decent performance by England, made lots of chances and at times played quite well, Baines has shown enough now that he should keep that left back place, and Townsend, on this form should keep Walcott out. Well done boys.
Brazil here we come, group draw on December 6th, England won't be seeded and will probably be in the second pot.

Sometimes it makes you wonder if a Great Britain team would fare any better.

I guess you can only have eleven players on the pitch, so maybe not.

When was the last time any non-South American side won the World Cup in South America? Hmmm?

Can it happen this time?

I doubt it can happen, but there's a first time for everything.

Nice to see some sense from some Premier League clubs regarding away tickets. Including free travel, if I am lucky enough to get a ticket, I will only pay £25.50 for the Arsenal away game.
Come on you Tigers.

Just when everyone thought the group were very strong and together, someone from the dressing room has felt the need to leak this story to the press :? i guess we'll never know who, but it'll make the press try and blow it out of all proportion, like they do with everything, just at a time when they and the whole country should be getting behind the team.

My understanding is that he made reference to a space mission in which a chimp was sent out into space and essentially piloted the rocket, having been trained to respond to commands from an astronaut on earth, receiving bananas as a reward. The point of the analogy is that it doesn't matter how clever you are down on earth, ultimately you need to feed the monkey or the mission will fail. In the analogy, Townsend was the monkey - because he was the potential goalscorer, and needed the ball! The analogy would have been just as valid if it was aimed at Rooney. Ridiculous press reaction.

What is the difference between Sunderland and a triangle?

A triangle has three points.
