Fixtures out tomorrow. Apparently someone posted a screencap from Liverpool's site saying their first game is away at Hull. They are saying it is a photoshopped picture.

Guess tomorrow will tell us.

Confederations' Cup. Neymar and Brazil are showing how football should be played. For today's 2nd goal he put 2 mexicans aside and then a third and kicked to his mate's foot in the area. Mexico was neutralized by Brazil, literally, and so was Japan. Tahiti scored a goal and they celebrated like if they had won the World Cup :D

and Italy turn the result around. Japan always letting us down and sleeping.

And Spain are annihilated by a fresh and vibrant Brazil. A stormed Conf. Cup due to the protests (and with lots of reason) and Brazil just didn't Spain play.

yawn. Suarez will likely have f*cked off to Spain by the time the new season starts. Hull tried to get him on loan in 2009-10. Negredo, not the big toothed racist. :P

As some know on here, my son did match day commentaries for Hull City last year. This season, because we are in the Premier League, every game is covered by Sky so they take over league duties. However my son was contacted by Hull City yesterday to see if he wanted to do the commentaries for friendlies and cup games this season.

8 posts in and I can see this thread will be the same steaming pile of turgid wretchedness as last season's.

On which note - good luck everyone, enjoy the roller coaster ride and I'll drop in next year.

Scottish League Cup 1st round Forfar 2 Rangers 1. When we`re back in the SPL and Europe we`ll look back on yesterday and laugh. Won`t we?
By the way JLP I hear Hull have put a nightclub in the stadium as part of Alan McGregor`s training regime

I quite like it. It's a new answer for the pub quizzes (Argyle, Orient, Palace, Villa, Hotspur, etc.), reflects the club's traditions (unlike the Cardiff kit change which flies in the face of them) and makes them stand out. The owner is absolutely right, the 'A' in 'FC' is completely redundant and pointless - 'football' means 'association football' unless otherwise specified in the UK, and most other codes have their own names that drop the 'football' part altogether (eg Rugby League and Rugby Union).
