Gutierrez has the 2nd Sauber seat. Looks like no di Resta next season. Also, from 2014, drivers will be picking numbers between 2-99 and that will be the numbers they drive with for the rest of their careers.

ETA Kobayashi is favourite for a seat at Caterham.

Michael Schumacher was taken to hospital after a skiing accident, with what could be serious head injuries. :(

Earlier it sounded like it wasn't too bad, but latest reports say he's in a critical condition:

Very worrying that he was fine when he arrived at hospital and is now in a critical condition. It has 'extradural haemorrhage' written all over it.

Apparently, despite being conscious after the fall, he was in a coma on arrival at hospital:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-25545993

and French sources are using the phrase cerebral haemorrhage:

Off-piste.

Should count himself lucky he didn't injure other people...

I think he was concious when he arrived at the local hospital and was put in an induced coma there, before being transferred to the hospital in Grenoble.

There are various kinds of bleed but with extradural you get a lucid period where you feel absolutely fine. However, then the blood in your head reaches a certain volume and the pressure starts to damage your brain and you lose consciousness.

It's how Natasha Richardson, Liam Neeson's wife, died.
