finally, getting to an Euro Cup without having to go through playoffs!
And congrats on Northern Ireland for qualifying too!

And for Ireland for winning to Germany. It'd be fun to see both playing in the same group!
I wonder.... why did Gibraltar apply to always be a punching bag like Liechtenstein was 20 years ago?

Mourinho is acting like a petulant child at the moment, but he does have a point about Wenger getting away with stuff.

Mourinho is never happy if he doesn't get his way. He claimed the Ref bottled it by not giving Chelsea a penalty against Southampton ( which in fairness looked a good decision by the ref) & yet when asked about the two good shouts for penalties for Southampton in the same game he doesn't want to know.

MANCHESTER United has pledged to stop fans smuggling puzzles, games and books into Old Trafford to keep them occupied during matches.

The club has trained its security staff to spot a sudoku book being concealed inside a match programme and bags are being searched for novels.

Suspicions were raised during the team’s 0-0 draw with West Ham when a Marouane Fellaini near miss was greeted by absolute silence, except for a dispute taking place over a game of ‘Buckaroo!’ in the Stretford End.

A Manchester United spokesman said: “We will not tolerate fans being entertained.”

Season ticket holder Wayne Hayes said: “Since August I’ve read most of Dickens. It has been a literary feast, courtesy of Louis van Gaal.”

He added: “I’m taking my tax return to the Norwich game.”

I do wonder if Platini is genuinely one of the bad guys, like Blatter, but his ban is certainly good news for England and in particular for Liverpool.

Well done to my mighty Hammers who have done the double over Liverpool. Considering this year was the first time we won at Anfield since 1963 I'm wondering when was the last time (if there was a last time) West Ham beat Liverpool home & away in a season. I have a feeling this is a first.

I'm at Anfield waiting for Liverpool's FA Cup replay against Exeter to kick off.

They've just played Rebel Rebel and followed it up with Lyin' Eyes.

Having their best season in years, have a great chance of winning the league and they still can't beat a Chelsea team who are 14th and more worried about relegation than finishing top 4.

If the big clubs wanna reduce fixture congestion, make the Champions League and the Europa Leage simple knock out tournaments. I mean, it ain't as if they make shedloads of cash from the former is it.

I think that other European countries, which tend not to have replays, don't have the same issues with fixture congestion. There's therefore no incentive for UEFA to change the format of its competitions. Ultimately, English players playing more matches in a season than their international counterparts is something to bear in mind every 2 years when we expect them to go out and play a summer tournament after a gruelling long season.

True but considering that many of the top foreign players play in the Premier League, they seem to manage.
