Time we started a new one, the old bad season is long gone, thank God.

Man United have signed Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera for around £29m, he's signed a 4 year deal with the option for a further 12 months.

Hull have already signed Jake Livermore from Tottenham. Also have agreed a fee with Norwich for Robert Snodgrass and are being linked with Michael Dawson, also of Spurs. Nice to see someone signing players from these islands. :)

it's good to make players play in their country so that clubs can develop stability and less dependance on transfers.

And if these English players play regular & on form why shouldn't players like Huddlestone, Livermore etc get a chance at International level, better than having Roy picking English players at the top Premier level when they are spending most matches on the bench, how can you judge their form if they are not playing ?

Indeed. I am sure if Curtis Davis had been at a bigger club, he would have been on the plane to Brazil.

Curtis Davis IMO should have gone, purely for the season he'd just had, more deserving than some that did go.But that's one of many reasons why England will never do well in World cups / European Championships, we pick players not on form but on who they are or who they play for. A couple of seasons ago Scott Parker was voted footballer of the year (whilst at West ham) & didn't make even make the squad ?? Then Joins Spurs & gets straight in.

"These islands" is a very broad way of describing White Hart Lane! It's a retirement home for Spurs these days.

Indeed. For a newly promoted club, we were defensively pretty good, conceding far fewer goals than the teams that were relegated. Now if we can do that this season but knock a few more in, we could finish a bit higher.

Luke Shaw to Man United for 30 million  seems a lot for such a young kid, but he does look good.

Liverpool about to announce Adam Lallana signature.
