UEFA (EUFA) Euro 2016

Postby Kes » Sun Jun 12, 2016 9:36 am

Surprised there isn't already a thread about this, but still...

Well done Wales!

As regards England... They more or less completely ran the game against Russia, but from about ten minutes in, I really had the feeling that Russia could get something out of the game with just one decent attack. Funny that!

Belgium - Italy

Game of the tournament, so far, for me.

I'm betting on England this time. Their choice of colours for the jerseys sucks though. Light-blue, white and red? WTF? Looks just awful.
Happy for Iceland, because a sulky Ronaldo is always a joy to watch.

I know they've only played one game, but so far, Italy look pretty good.

Not keen on the white England strip either, but it is what it is. Nike have got to "try" and make it look a "bit" different from previous ones.

I'm sure following England will give me severe stomach acid problems.

Nothing like winning a game nice and easy, and quite rightly, that was nothing like winning a game nice and easy.

Hats off to Wales for an exciting game, and I seriously hope you go through to the next round and do well.

I think Hart should have done better with the free kick but England were the better team. Like my home town club, they never do things the easy way.

****ing hell!

Can't beat a Slovakia team that it seemed for over half the game had their entire team in their own eighteen yard box. And as for that Skyrtle, he's like a one man 12 foot high goal stopping brick wall.

Feel almost bound that we're going to get a Portugal team that suddenly and miraculously gels together (like they do in these sorts of championships) next up.

Congrats to Wales, your team went out and "exactly" what it had to do.

Not at all surprised by England's lack of quality, especially creating & finishing chances. Hodgson always picks players on reputation & not players on form. Sterling & Wilshire shouldn't even be in the squad

The service to Vardy was poor all night. Henderson couldn't deliver a bloody letter let alone a decent cross.

Henderson is another player that hasn't done anything with Liverpool last season to be justified in being picked for the England squad. God knows what Mark Noble & the Leicester boy Drinkwater have to do to be included, both performed for their clubs better than all or nearly all of the midfielders there. John Stones had a terrible season for Everton & yet he made the squad & yet the Leicester city Captain Wes Morgan who had a great season didn't ?

So, I was 20 seconds away from being correct with my prediction.

I'm not saying I really believe Portugal are that much better than England, but a bit like with Germany, we DO seem to have a bit of a jinx going on when we play them in championships.

We've got Iceland. A decent chance to try and get even for them giving us Bjork. Thanks Iceland!

You forgot the dodgy chicken products that Jason Donovan etc plug. Whoops wrong Iceland. I can see Wales getting to the semis now with a bit of luck. England are in the difficult half of the draw. But it ain't how you start. So a tenner on Portugal then.
