Today is the 80th birthday of Sir Bobby Charlton. He was probably the first footballer I became aware of when I was a kid. I still would put his name down first in my all time England team.
Come on you Tigers.

Legend is bantered around a lot these days, but Sir Bobby is well worthy of that title. His tribute programme ' Sir Bobby Charlton At 80 ' which was on last Sunday was excellent, and all the ex players & friends who contributed, showed how much he is thought of and loved.

Not watched it yet as waiting for an opportunity to watch it with my son. Hopefully tonight's the night. Apparently my son briefly met him on the stairs at Old Trafford last season. To my son's eternal shame, he was scratching the inside of his nose at the time. My son that is, not Sir Bobby.
Come on you Tigers.

Leicester City have sacked manager Craig Shakespeare just four months after he signed a three-year deal to take the job on a permanent basis.  madness.

2nd Dutch guy to get the boot from the Premier League this season, no time given really.

Everton have sacked manager Ronald Koeman after Sunday's 5-2 home defeat by Arsenal left them in the Premier League relegation zone.

I always thought he was a good decent manager, he'll be back at another club soon.

Your country is going through a similar phase as England did in the 1970s, we failed to qualify for both 1974 & 1978 World Cups.
