I've been told to listen to Yes by many but haven't got 'round to it 'til now. I suppose I've been missing out on something brilliant.

Close to the edge, Going for the one & Tormato are three that I would recommend - some great tracks on all three albums.

Meanwhile, Asia's new album will be entitled Gravitas, and will be released around April.

They'll be performing three albums in their entirety, *The Yes Album*, *Close To The Edge* and *Going For The One*.

Here's the latest news on the new Asia release. It's called Gravitas, and it'll be released on March 24th. I've pre-ordered mine, already!

Album artwork- (By Roger Dean, natch!)

and samples of the tracks are here... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HZOBD3M/

The track 'I Would Die For You' will be familiar to John Wetton/Geroff Downes fans, as it first appeared on their first collaboration album before they did the iCon stuff- it's re-worked to be more up-tempo. There's some cracking stuff, here!

Wetton's voice just seems to get better with age, just a richness to it, love it.

The deluxe version has a DVD with Valkyrie, the EPK and three live songs from the shows in Plovdiv with the orchestra- Extraordinary Life, Only Time Will Tell and Heat Of The Moment. Nice to hear them with an orchestra, and Sam really shows his guitar chops on the classics. On the main album, my favourite so far is Till We Meet Again.

Album is on constant play now- I just love the vocal harmonies on The Closer I Get To You, and Nyctophobia is a typical dark-humoured John Wetton ditty. Gravitas reminds me in places of The Die Is Cast from Rubicon. I think in all honesty this is the best album Asia have done this century.

Asia Featuring John Payne are releasing an album on April 7!! Now available on Amazon for pre-order. This is called Recollections, and it's a tribute to the best of British prog. News on their Americana album is still thin on the ground, but this will explain why the delay.

Tracklisting:

1 – “Sirius” (Originally Performed by Alan Parsons Project)
2 – “Eye In The Sky” (Originally Performed by Alan Parsons Project)
3 – “It Can Happen” (Originally Performed by YES)

5 – “Highways of the Sun” (Originally Performed by Camel)
6 – “I Know You’re Out There Somewhere” (Originally Performed by The Moody Blues)

8 – “Nothing to Lose” (Originally Performed by UK)

Interesting that two of the bands they cover on there were John Wetton -related.

Jeff Kollman- guitar
