That's the thing, they all actually get on and have made peace with each other over the years...except Curly and Ginge.

I am a real hardcore Guns fan, but you know what, as much as I would line up for tickets for a re-union, I am happy the way is was. It was wonderfully chaotic and perfectly explosive up until the release of Sympathy For The Devil in 95...I'm good with that, quite an apt song to bow out with. I love the story and the music that went with it, I will leave it there and adore it.

The other side is that Chinese Democracy is a damn fine album - not a classic, but if this is what we are going to get, I am really interested in how the (new) band takes this forward, I would like them to push on and produce a series of albums.

Rose is a wonderful talent and an artist who simply does what he wants, is there any greater kind of artist, who does only what they want...at least its honest, despite the sh*t he attracts and the way some might say he abuses the audience that made him I personally love him and hate him for his attitude, its what makes him the unique entertainer he is.

You sometimes just wish you could do some straight talking with him - remove labels, singles, tours, deadlines, profit and loss. You know why people get on your back dude? It's because there are a lot of people out there that simply like what you do and would genuinely like to hear more of it - no more, no less.

I completely agree with you. You hit the point perfectly. There really is no point in pining over the old line-up. It's not gonna happen.
I like the new line-up too. I'm interested in seeing where they could go. And agree, Axl is an amazing talent. He does things his own way. He is the way he is. No-one can change him

See that's the thing. Slash is over it. Duff is over it. Izzy is over it. Steven and Matt are over it. It's all down to axl. Axl hates Slash and goes out of his way to remind people of that. He's even referred to Slash as a "cancer" that needed to be removed. I can't remember the exact quote, but he also said something like, we'd (the fans) all have died of old age before Axl would even consider playing on the same stage as Slash

Apparently BBC are showing the Reading festival this weekend and G&R should be on the telly tomorrow. Assuming they get on stage on time of course.

Awesome band. The new line-up is pretty damn good, although it is wasted in that it largely has become a revolving door of musicians. As much as Chinese Democracy is brilliant, its no Appetite for Destruction, which is just awesome, not much comes close to it in my opinion.

Benn lucky enough to see Axl live a few times, once with Izzy. And I've seen Slash, Duff and Matt Sorum in VR a few times too. When I saw live Slash live a few months ago (with Myles Kennedy) last month, hes playing as good as ever, as hes stopped drink and drugs.

Would be unreal to see the original line-up back together, its just so explosive, itd be grat to see. Still hold a bit of hope for a one off tour at some point, but as said before its down to one man.

Twats, I tuned in to BBC4 hoping to catch some of their set at Reading. But they wouldn't let their set be shown for contractual reasons.
