Use Your Illusion was a great single album spread across two double albums with loads of filler. If they'd done a little more self editing they would have had a blinding album there.

More like 4 albums 'worth' squeezed into 2. Those wretched discs were more overloaded than fAtxl's dinner plate and ego combined.
The term 'self editing' does not exist in fAtxl's vocabulary.

Appetite was a great album.

Lies was passable.

Use Your Illusion had moments of brilliance that was padded by moments of shite.

Spaghetti was just pure shite.

Yeah, I've always thought this too.

If they'd cut it back to a single disc with just the best tracks, it probably would've been as good as Appetite. As it is the two CDs have way too many forgettable songs on them.

Like, what the f*ck was the point of including a second instance of "Don't Cry" with different lyrics badly overdubbed over the same backing track?

Appetite was a f*cking awesome album, and I loved Use Your Illusion as well- Lies and Spag Incident I was a bit less fond of, but they were still passable- I have yet to listen to Chinese Democracy. I do like Guns, I have a logo t shirt as well as a Use Your Illusion one- they were a refreshing kick in the arse in an otherwise bland music scene in the late eighties.
