He gave a very honest and long interview for a weekly newspaper in Germany. He confessed that he is fed up with some of his songs and he doesn't want to sing them anymore.
That would be lovely: A tour without a Greatest Hits feeling.... even though the guy HAD many hits. But some deep tracks are worth listening to. I witnessed only one Collins solo gig, but the best thing for me was "We Wait and We Wonder". Marvellous. Now it's one of my favourites.

I agree, I really don't care if I ever hear In The Air Tonight again. The Both Sides tour was the only solo gig I saw so I got to see him do We Wait And We Wonder. If he decides to do a tour with deep cuts I would be all over it. Here are just a few of the songs I would love to hear.

All Of My Life
We Wait And We Wonder
Survivors
Long Long Way To Go
Who Said I Would
Doesn't Anybody Stay Together Anymore
The Least You Can Do
It Don't Matter To Me
Don't Let Him Steal Your Heart Away
You Know What I Mean

I like most of his music and Dance Into The Light is the only album I have trouble with. Come to think of it I would also add Same Moon and River So Wide. Those are the only two songs I like from DITL.

I also have immense problems with DITL. However, I rate "Lorenzo" quite high.

I'll have to dig out my CD because I don't remember Lorenzo.

Together with "Long Long Way to Go" my favourite song from the live show "Live and Loose in Paris":

I don't remember that one at all. I'm going have to find the CD so I can add it to my iTunes.

Cool. Do that and let me know what you think about that song... I like the live performance, I like the whole concept of this show in general. Too bad it was cut that much.

That's a very good song and I don't know how I missed it. I didn't like that album much at all when it first came out so I'm going to give it another chance. Testify was a much better album IMO and I can't wait to hear the new one.

I remember I had such high hopes for Dance into the Light and I was almost shocked how uninteresting it all was. With 2 or three exceptions the whole album feels like going through the motions...But I will give it another spin soon.

What did you think about Testify? It wasn't great but it had some gems on it IMO.

Agree. Overall not that impressive, but 3 or 4 very good songs, "The least you can do" is probably my favourite song. Phil sounds as honest and authentic as possible. (Similar to "I Don't Care Anymore")

Yeah that's my favorite one too and I Don't Care Anymore might just be my all time favorite PC song.

Listening to Testify right now and I really like it this time. Will try Dance Into the Light afterwards... who knows? If I can dance to Ghost Town, I can probably make peace with my least favourite PC-album ;).
