Aah, I now see a documentary called Sum of the Parts is scheduled for a bluray release in January.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

That's weird... I have the Blu-Ray already. (Other message boards refer to it as "Some of the parts" which seems more accurate.)
And yes, Steve has stated his disappointment quite strongly. As a matter of fact, all members saw the imbalance of the whole film. But Steve's output has been completely left out. And he has released 20 something solo albums by now.

Don't really agree with a lot of it but it was fun to read.

Phil Collins, fantastic drummer, singer and songwriter!

I'm glad we have got the music from the 80s and the 70s.
You really think they like to rock in space? Well, I don't know. What do you know?

That's interesting.

Four months ago he gave an interview where he said he physically can't sit behind a drum kit anymore, because years of doing it had screwed his back up. Just after the last Genesis tour he said he finds it nearly impossible to sing on a stage, because his hearing is so fucked up.

So, has he had a miraculous recovery, or is living in Switzerland a bit dearer than he estimated?

Still, whatever, I'd fucking love to go and see a Genesis gig!

A more recent article and a lot better news. ;)

http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/ ... d-20151028

Collins' longtime manager Tony Smith is laying the groundwork for a tour right now, but the details are up in the air. "I don't think I want a very long tour," Collins says. "But I would like to play the stadiums in Australia and the Far East, and that's the only way to do that. But there's a part of me that just wants to do theaters, so we'll see."

But the news could be better.

News of Collins' return to the stage is certain to get Genesis fans hoping the band will also make a return, but Collins is noncommittal. "Let's start with this [solo] bit first," he says. "I love the guys. I would just prefer to do this first. For now, let's just see how this goes."

It will be great to have him do music again, album, live, whatever, I'm excited for it.
