Honestly I really can't. Not with everything going on here. My couple of luxuries is bare bones cable and the internet, and cheap books if I can find any  .
Are your kids Thunder fas by the way? I know you talked about bringing your son to a show, did he like it? It's really great you did that, plus the autograph for you daughter

Watching the Bus Interviews on the Blu-Ray disc. The piano used on the album is the very same piano used on a song that is probably one of the most iconic songs of all time. Clue, it was released in 1975 and again in 1991.

The album Rip it Up was recorded at Rockfield Studios, the self same place as Bohemian Rhapsody was recorded. Apparently the piano is called the Bo Rhap piano, much like the one in the BBC studio is called the Elton John piano.

I sort of remember a story they told on their actual website years ago where Ben had come across the Red Special and got to play on it. Not sure if he had actual permission though.

Such a small world. I knew about the Rock field connection before. I didn't know about the same piano being used. Bohemian Rhapsody is my favorite song ever, so I love the connection there.
Nice story about Been and the Red Special. I read as much as I could on their old website, but never knew about that tidbit before. Must have been a thrill for Ben.
Amazing connections. Thanks for posting about them. :D

I donated what I was saving for the album to a particular GoFundMe campaign. I'm ok with that.
But I'm clinging on to some of those songs. The Very Best Of is getting much play by me.

Yes - Ben was engineering on some of the stuff Brian recorded with Anita, and when they went out for a spot of lunch the Red Special was set up, and he just couldn't resist. Ironically, knowing what we do about Brian I'm sure he would have let him have a blast if he'd just asked him!

PS - I've got about 20 or so signed Thunder records, posters etc.. going back to when Snake was in the band...I also have Harry James' old touring trunk from the mid 90s, full of drum hardware, which they auctioned off when they first split. I won the auction and got to met Harry at his lock up to collect it!
