I sort of remember a story they told on their actual website years ago where Ben had come across the Red Special and got to play on it. Not sure if he had actual permission though.

. :D

Yes - Ben was engineering on some of the stuff Brian recorded with Anita, and when they went out for a spot of lunch the Red Special was set up, and he just couldn't resist. Ironically, knowing what we do about Brian I'm sure he would have let him have a blast if he'd just asked him!

PS - I've got about 20 or so signed Thunder records, posters etc.. going back to when Snake was in the band...I also have Harry James' old touring trunk from the mid 90s, full of drum hardware, which they auctioned off when they first split. I won the auction and got to met Harry at his lock up to collect it!

Now that is very cool.

A very small world, no doubt about it. I had no idea that Ben was an engineer at one point.
Great collection, cmsdrums.
Since we are going back a while, does anyone own any Terraplane memorbillia?

How so? Is it because of how old the CD is...or *gasp* the music isn't good?

It is typical 80s stuff. Nothing at all like Thunder. Even the band did not like the direction they were forced to take musically.

I didn't know about that.
I hope as Thunder, they did the type of music that they wanted. I sure think they did it.

Some of the Terraplane stuff was OK, it's a shame they don't wheel the odd one out at Xmas.

The Andy Pandy suits on the other hand...

Being digging a little about Terraplane this morning. I almost can't believe my ears. It is so 80s sounding and looking, and that's not meant as a criticism, because I like my fair share of that music. I actually don't mind it, but yes it's so far from Thunder. Too bad there is so little of the music on YouTube though.

I have the indie pressing of their first single, plus a couple of later singles.

Am I happy?

I know I am ;-). I was waiting for someone to post about it. Great news.
The album might be different. I wonder what that means.

Dunno if still available but I booked rooms at a new Travelodge called London City. We are planning on doing the World darts on the Thursday and got a room for three for £150 for two nights.
