Great. I have seen you on here before and noticed your username. I thought 'Nah, too good to be true - another Furry fan - nah'

Anyway, where's your list? Bet I can guess your 1997 choice ;)

You betcha - it's still my favourite SFA album although they remain remarkably and consistantly amazing. Also the band I've seen most (16). I'll think of a list...

That's a good album but they did get more sophisticated without losing their originality.

I ordered Radiator today. :D

Embryonic is a slow burner, but a great listen IMO. I have seen them live twice. Good live band but Wayne pisses me off with his constant chatter between songs. Shut up and play the music!

You are not alone! He pissed me off when I saw them. It was an outside show in late October. It was freezing cold and he was bitching because people weren't going crazy. "Shut up and play the music!" EXACTLY!!! He kept on calling us mother fuckers. He was a total douche and he pissed off a lot of people.

Pageant, Fabels, and Reckoning are my favorites. I loved Automatic For The People, but didn't care for much after that one. Around The Sun was the most interesting one IMO.

I saw them at the Hammersmith Palais on the Fables tour in 1985 and 6 times in total. It's a shame they got so pedestrian, especially following Bill Berry's retirement, although always great live.

1975 - A night at the Opera - Queen (the very first album i ever bought)
1976 - A day at the races - Queen ( i was so into Queen at this time that no other Artists IMO came close although i also loved 10CC's ' How dare you '
1977 -Rumours - Fleetwood Mac (one of my all time fav albums - Worthy mention for E.L.O.'s ' Out of the blue' )
1978 -Parallel lines - Blondie ( Bat out of hell - Meatloaf - close 2nd)
1979 - Breakfast in America - Supertramp ( another one of my all time fav's)
1980 - The Game - Queen ( Kate Bush's ' Never forever 2nd)
1981 - Face Value - Phil Collins
1982 - Thriller - Micheal Jackson
1983 - Lets dance - David Bowie
1984 - Purple rain - Prince
1985 - Songs from the big chair - Tears for fears
1986 - A kind of magic - Queen (having seen the boys twice on the magic tour probably helped with my loving this album) (Kate Bush's ' Hounds of love ' close 2nd)
1987 - The joshua tree - U2 ( special mentions for : Aztec Camera's ' Love ' & Deacon blue's ' Raintown ')
1988 - From langley park to memphis _ Prefab Sprout
1989 - When the world knows your name - Deacon blue
1990 - Jordan the comeback - Prefab sprout
1991 - Innuendo - Queen
1992 - Harvest moon - Neil Young
1993 -So close - Dina Carrol
1994 - Definately maybe - Oasis
1995 - What's the story - Oasis
1996 - 1977 - Ash
1997 - Word gets around - Stereophonics
1998 - I've been expecting you - Robbie Williams (great pop album)
1999 - Performance & cocktails - Stereophonics
2000 - The man who - Travis
2001 - Hybrid theory - Linkin' park
2002 - one by one - Foo Fighters
2003 - Absolution - Muse
2004 - Hopes & fears - Keane
2005 - Eye to the telescope - K.T. tunstall
2006 - The Black Parade - My Chemical Romance (very 'Queen' like & i'd loved to hear Freddie sing these songs)
2007 - We'll live & die in these towns - The Enemy (very close 2nd Little Man Tate's ' About what you know ')
2008 - 22 dreams - Paul Weller
2009 - The resistance - Muse
2010 - Step out the man - Jon Windle
2011 - Eliza Doolittle - Eliza Doolittle
2012 - 2nd law - Muse

I know most of these albums probably wouldn't make anyones 'best of the year' but i based my selection also on what albums i played to death.
1987 -

1974 - 'Queen II' Queen

1976 - 'The Song Remains The Same' Led Zeppelin
1977 - 'News Of The World' Queen
1987 - 'Joshua Tree' U2
1989 - 'Bellybutton' Jellyfish
1991 - 'Innuendo' Queen
1993 - 'Spilt Milk' Jellyfish
1994 - 'Happiness' Roger Taylor
1995 - 'Outside' David Bowie

Good question! I would think there would be some crossover...Jellyfish was definitely Queen influenced!

I do! It's fairly thorough. Lots of live takes/radio performances...a few outtakes and what not. I thought it was well worth the price I got it for at the time (~ $30?)

I didn't even know they had a live album come out...I'll have to go out and get that (although it seems a lot of it is on the box set already!)

Do you have the first fun. album? Roger Joseph Manning of Jellyfish helped with that album and you can really hear the Jellyfish on it. Some of it also has a Queen sound to it.

I do! I got it right soon after I got the first one as I noticed some similar influences as well. Decent album!
