The TV Series?

Postby Kes » Sun Mar 03, 2013 6:01 pm

Everybody MUST have their favourites. What are YOUR Top 5?

Mine are currently :-

Breaking Bad
Homeland
The Fringe
The Walking Dead
True Blood

Just the words on your stone.

But forgot how to learn.

I only watch 5 TV shows at the moment, making this rather easy!

Game Of Thrones, Elementary, The Office, Family Guy, American Dad.

If it's 'of all time', and we can probably narrow it down to dramas rather than comedies, I'd go with:

Lost
Game Of Thrones
Doctor Who
House
Prison Break

Elessar
I Want To Break Free

If we're not including comedy series then it's

Doctor Who
CSI (Vegas)
Quantum Leap
Person of Interest
Murder One

If we include comedies then it's

Doctor Who
Only Fools & Horses
Red Dwarf
CSI
Blackadder

I used to be a fan of Merlin, but that finished, and after series four of Being Human completely changed the cast and ruined the premise and story for me, I stopped watching that, too. At the moment, my top 5 are...

Doctor Who
Game Of Thrones
The Borgias
Red Dwarf
Sherlock

If we're talking 'of all time', then it'd be

Doctor Who
Life On Mars/Ashes To Ashes
Being Human (Series 1-3)
Red Dwarf
Sherlock

Tarkus

Breaking Bad is the one I've got into most recently, after being told about it by someone at work.

So they reckon, it's critically acclaimed as the best thing of it's kind not to be screened on UK TV, and it's on Season 5 in the States.

Basically it's about a high school chemistry teacher who finds out he has a terminal illness, and America being America, there is no way he has the resources to either fund his treatment, or fund his family if and when the illness stops him working. So out of desperation, he turns to making the purest crystal meth the Southern United States has ever seen, and that's when the fun starts!

If you haven't seen it, try the first series, it'll either grab you, or it won't.
