Legend.
I'm in the process of trying to make compilation albums of the music my parents grew up with year by year. His music will certainly be included on it, and more than one song.
RIP sir. You gave music and smiles.

Paul Buckmaster died yesterday aged 71. He was one of my favourite arrangers. Paul worked with the likes of Bowie and Elton and would've also worked with Queen as he was the first choice for the 'Flash Gordon' OST, but he was being too meticulous and taking a long time so the producers sacked him and got Howard Blake instead. Will be missed.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger did not compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

Amazing that you didn't even know who Roddy Bottum was when I asked you about him previously. Equally amazing that you posted 2 FNM videos that don't even feature Chuck Mosley [or 'Chuck' as you know him].
Sorry for your loss

I posted the band's songs in case people had not heard of them before as it seems most people around here haven't heard of anyone unless they're from the UK. Go take a hike!

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think We Care A Lot charted better in the UK than it did in the US.

Please. Not the time and place for who's wrong or right; some of us are still grieving for 'Chuck'.

Malcolm Young of AC/DC has died. :-(
AC/DC was one of the first rock bands I ever became a fan of. And remained a fan.
Years of good ol, straight up rock.
RIP.

Funny, you and Inny were the first people I thought of when I heard the news. So sorry for your loss. It seems every time a celebrity snuffs it; it's one of your favourites. Coincidence or just bad luck, I guess?
Take care

If you read what I actually posted, I said it was one of the first rock bands I became a fan of, and remained a fan through the years. I happen to think AC/DC had some very good music through the years, and enjoy it.
I was awake when the news broke.
Should I really have to explain that to you?
You are sniping and wanting to have a go at me in the memorial thread once again. Coincidence or bad luck you jump on me for it?

This great man deserves a mention:

http://www.cai.cam.ac.uk/news/tributes- ... ius-chapel

As he writes in his own translation of Horace’s ‘Odes’ and as read at his own funeral:

Don’t ask, dear friend, what the future holds for you and me:
We’re not supposed to know: so put that horoscope away;
Much better just accept, with patience, what must be.
God may send us many winters, or just this, which today
Drives the waves that churn the pebbles on the Worthing beach.
So sip your wine; and trim your long hopes to life’s brief span –
Be wise: for even as we chat, time slips beyond our reach.
Grasp the moment: trust tomorrow just as little as you can.

David Cassidy has passed away. Damn, another one.

https://thewirerepublicblog.wordpress.c ... at-age-67/

ETA: CNN saying he's in critical condition. I know he's been in very bad health for a couple of years, at least.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/18/entertain ... index.html

It won't be long, I'm afraid.
