I'm ashamed to say I didn't recognize the name, but that voice. Of course I recognize it. That particular song comes straight from my childhood. It's amazing how artists can touch the smallest moments of your life but then stick with you for a lifetime. R.I.P. James Ingram.

He was such a good singer, great voice and a great performer as well. Maybe you've heard this song?

I recognize Baby, Come To Me. But his main way into my life was through An American Tail. Clearly a very talented man. Respect.

Sixty years ago this very day. The day the music died.

Roughly 3 hours from me. :(

On February 3, 1959, American rock and roll musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J. P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson were killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa, together with pilot Roger Peterson.

Almost 5 years into this game thread and still no winner. Does anyone want to live forever? Stay tuned, the 6th season of Who Wants to Live Forever continues, only on QOL!

The answer is clearly no one. We need the knowledge that our time alive is a scarce commodity to give meaning to it. Eternal life wouldn’t just be boring, it would be utterly meaningless. Even in Highlander there’s the likelihood of eventual death.

Maybe Keith Richards though.

I had a horrible time yesterday, not wanting at all to even think about it. I know it sounds like I'm stressing how much I admired him but, genuinely, he was my favourite (I know people tend to say that when people die, but this time it's not that). He was phenomenal... I knew he was seriously ill and I knew he wouldn't last too long, but it still hit me hard.
John hated Hot Space. Frederick's favourite singer was not Paul Rodgers. Roger did not compose 'Innuendo.' Witness testimonies are often inaccurate. Scotland's not in England. 'Bo Rhap' hasn't got 180 voices.

 Mark Hollis of Talk Talk. He didn't leave behind a large body of work but all of it was creative and brilliant.
