Back down to 17 this week. Are they doing anything with this new single or is it getting ignored? Too Good At Goodbyes is number 20 on the Hot 100.

I actually haven't heard the song being played at all, but I've not been tuning in the streams of radio stations as much these days.

#19 this week in the US. If they can't get a new hit single soon it's going to fall out of the top 40. His debut has been on the chart for 191 weeks.

I'm not worried, although another single would be good right now.

Not for long, after the boring drivel he presented to the world at the Grammys.

I heard it wasn't that great. Why would he sing that song for his performance? It's one of the worst songs on the album. All the Grammy albums and new releases will push it back this week for sure.

Wondering why should he be pushed back after having this brilliant opportunity to perform his new single in front of millions without even being nominated? Poor Lorde didn't have this privilege although she was nominated for the album of the year?
Anyway, he's performing at The Brit awards tomorrow - no nomination either.

I think the album came out so late that it will have a chance to be nominated next year. I don't watch award shows because I think they are shit too. He's a big name so they'll let him perform. Too much politics in commercial music award shows.

I don't watch The Grammys either but always watch The Brits. His album was eligible for this year's Brit's nomination by the way.

"The third-biggest seller of 2017 however, Sam Smith’s The Thrill of it All, was shut out: Smith received no nominations at all, though the November release date of his album means he is also eligible for 2019’s awards, and he is confirmed to perform at the ceremony."

We discussed all of this when the news broke that he was snubbed by the Brit awards. Can't find where we talked about it.

Yea, we did discuss it, AngelR no longer can read my posts so maybe she missed it. I'm not insulted or anything he didn't get any Brit nominations, I knew the reason behind it.
Not sure if I can watch the awards, but I hope it goes well for him/everyone

There's nothing to discuss really. Ed is nominated at every category - Sam can't compete with him....
