Nothing new in that one. I wish you would tell us if your latest links had new info in them or if they're just a rehash of something you posted earlier.

Looks like he had another Twitter party, and the article repeated what was said in it.
Basically, the music music will have all of his influences rolled into one special blend. Great description, there :sigh:
Nothing new he put out there, but I guess he gotta talk about his upcoming music right before the Q+AL tour.

He did say he wouldn't be playing Judas, which is kind of a bummer for me. I think he would have been better than anyone else I can think of. But I'm still going to watch it, because I'm curious to see John Legend play Christ.

And I'm curious about who they do get to play Judas. They still haven't announced the casting.

That makes me sad if it is true. I thought it would be interesting since John Legend is playing Jesus if a white guy would be Judas. In the original Judas was played by Carl Anderson.

I wasn't expecting him to get the part, I figured he would be busy with other things, and he sure will be.
Honestly, I'm glad he didn't get the part, because some, well most of those musicals I've seen on TV and the last couple of years ended up bad, and besides JCS always gave me the creeps. My least favorite musical, and I say that as someone who wasn't even impressed by Gary Cherone doing it a few years back.

I saw the original Jesus, Ted Neeley, and Judas, Carl Anderson, when they were touring in 1993 and it was fabulous! Irene Cara played Mary Magdeline and Dennis DeYoung was Herod.

Hoping it was better than the original movie musical I saw. It creeped me out so much, I couldn't watch anything to do with it again. :cold: , although I tried with Gary ( it used to be on YouTube I think ) I think I was too young to watch it when I did at least the original one.
I didn't even realize Daughtry had played a part of a few years back.

This is the best part of JCS — John Legend will probably get an Emmy or other award if he does it well:

They haven't been great, but I've enjoyed watching them nevertheless.

This one is going to be more of a live concert. Less staging, more emphasis on the singing.

Hmm. That could be better.

When Brian and Roger don't need him anymore he will have plenty of time to do Broadway. That's what he's best suited for IMHO. Hopefully he's working with some more mature songwriters that avoid dated cliches this time around.

Absolutely wonderful song; I have always loved this track (and I am the least religious person I know). My favourite version is by an ex JCS performer - Steve Balsamo: that man sings with every last drop of his heart. Great stuff.

I wonder if he will say TwoFux once Q+AL is over. I don't think so ;)
I heard a little clip that could be his new music yesterday, but I couldn't tell much from it.
Date cliches are one thing...but he really needs to work on his music with no distractions. I don't think his heart is in his solo career, well as long as he is touring with Brian and Roger. That seems to come first for him the last couple of years.

Like I said, he knows where the money is. I can't blame him for doing the Q thing one bit. He now admits that he's a C lister and that he was chasing something that will never be a reality. He needs to ride Q's coattails for as long as he can. Adam is not a fool for doing it, Brian and Roger are the fools for letting him do it.
