Who knows. I think it would've been more interesting if he said and actually branched out for a change.

Did you see where someone asked him about weed? Good Lord. I dunno what's worse, that he was asked about it, or he answered it.

So anyone interested in discussing music here? Was just interested in hearing opinions. Which songs of Adam do you like the most? As for me, I like his ballads the most so my favorite songs are the back half of Trespassing. Outlaws of Love is particularly heart wrenching. Nirvana is beautiful too. I also quite like Broken Open from his first CD. I generally prefer the lyrics of his first and second cd. As for Two Fux, i know it is not a popular opinion around here but I do like it. Not my favorite song but I find it cute, lighthearted and catchy. Nothing deep.

The Milkman, I think you mentioned that you listened to all of Adam's CDs, any song that is worthwhile to you? Thanks.

"Broken Open."

phpBB [video]

Still my favorite song. I think it's beautiful, and very unique. (Although, "Nirvana" is kind of similar... :P ) While I realize my musical knowledge is not great, I don't think I've ever heard a love song quite like it.

I'm going to have to paraphrase, but Adam explained the story of the song this way: There was a certain period of his life (before he was on Idol, I think), when people started randomly crying in front of him. It was a puzzling thing, and he wondered what it was about him that gave them that feeling. It wasn't like he was doing anything to make these people cry, but more as though they felt safe enough in his company to let out their feelings. So, he wrote the song about that.

Lol, I was wondering if I was missing the connection somehow :)

Thanks for the reply Montavilla! I love Broken Open too, so beautiful. I am sad I missed hearing it live (started to become a fan in 2014 only) hopefully he'll sing it in one of his solo concerts one day :) I think Adam described Nirvana as a lullaby for his boyfriend.

I actually like Underneath and Chokehold a lot too. I find Adam's songs very personal, sometimes almost autobiographical.

What do you think about these three songs? Genuinely curious what you think about FYE ( single) WWFM and EITN?

I'm not as fond of "Underneath," although I think it's better in concert than on the album. "Chokehold" is really sexy. What is that line, "Baby, I can smell on my clothes"? That always gets me.

But I like more than the ballads. "Shady" and "Down the Rabbit Hole" are a couple of my favorites. And "Voodoo."

I like FYE, thought the melody was really catchy. Music video was really good. And it's one of my favorites live when I heard it at The Original High Tour.

WWFM is prob his most popular song and i do like it a lot. I especially love it when he sings it acoustic. His performances of it in the acoustic live cd, at NRJ radio and at the Trevor Project are so emotional and beautiful.

EITN, I liked the song when I first heard it but not as much afterwards. I know Adam likes to sing it live a lot but it is not a track that I like all that much.

Two out three that we have in common, isn't bad. I think he was in top form with those three. EITN was the song that stood out and still stands out to me the most from TOH.
Have you heard anything about a new album? I'm unsure if he will be releasing singles, an EP or a full album.
