Anr article about Adam. Is the newest Adam thread? I'm starting to think it is.
And no, I wouldn't put his Whole Lotta Love cover as the best American Idol performance of all time.

Anyone watch AI last night?

Uh, I didn’t start a new thread about the new American Idol Show because Adam was mentioned in a couple of articles. The new show isn’t about him at all and shouldn’t be included in the thread about him!

Tough. It stays here. Perhaps if you stopped the incessant barrage on here, which your fellow Lambert fans have even mentioned, I would not have to be so draconian.

It’s okay! Just pointing out that Adam and American Idol are not synonymous. Those are not fellow Lambert fans!

Not many people care about American Idol, and definitely not here. Did you tune in? Anyone here tune in? How were the auditions and judges?
PS...it's not because of me the posts ended up being merged to this thread.

I tuned to American Idol. I didn't usually enjoy the audition episodes, but these ones reminded me of why I liked the show.

I was less annoyed by the judges than I thought I would be. And the stories were still mostly about the contestants, including ones that didn't get in, and/or will probably be cut very soon.

There were two girls who sang songs they had written themselves that were really interesting. One was a song about the internet called "21st Century Machine." The other was called "Yard Sale," and it was about selling her ex-boyfriends stuff on the lawn.

The other person I remember most was this teenage boy from Arkanasas, just because he seemed to delighted all the time. He said, "Wig," and Katy Perry was the only judge who understood what he meant. After he sang, she went over to him and said, "Wig. Snatched. Flown out of the room." Then they asked him what he'd do with the money if he won the show and he said he'd buy an alpaca, because they're adorable.

I was about to say how much I appreciate seeing something positive on my TV, and that made me realize that they really emphasized immigrants on the show. One of the first contestants came to the US from the Co10. Anngo when he was 10. Another one's family emigrated from Cuba back in the 1950s. One woman was from Venezuela -- she was fun. One man sang a pop song from the Ukraine. And, one of the joke contestants had won the X-Factor Russia -- so, kind of a villain edit for him.

As far as I know Spike (after watching the same videos) persuaded Brian and Roger to go to America to meet Adam. Slash (after watching the same videos) was also interested in a collaboration with Adam and agreed to be a mentor just to meet him.

Why are you all talking about AI on the QAL tour thread anyway? :)

Things get off topic because of comments like yours. Slash did say those things but thankfully he didn’t use him on his solo album he recorded shortly after he was on Idol. He did use Adam Levine and Fergie. WTF?

Oh wait, it was Adam that wanted to work with Slash.

CNB wrote:Is it me or is it you? First, I became acquainted with Adam in a whole different way in which I did see HIM as an enigma who could be very spontaneous and versatile and gracious in the manner in which he responded to mentors, judges and interviewers! In a set show that has to fit within a definite timeframe, they have to pretty much know what they are going to do and say between the performances. If you attend or watch more than one show live or on a live stream you may want them to surprise you. Why? If you love the music and love the performers you won’t mind that you know what is coming up next and will want to see it over and over again!!!!! :)
