Sam Smith? Ok, I'm even more interested now.

Oh yeah, big time. I remember saying he would probably have something like this on TOH before its release.

Anyone have an idea when he wrote this song?

I know, there are pictures from the writing and recording session with Benedict Cork and Josh Cumbee from last april. My guess is, that this song was recorded then. No idea, when Adam had the idea for it.

I heard it elsewhere. First thoughts, I can see why it's being compared to Sam Smith, I'm really liking it, and this might be one of 'the' song of the spring. He is wearing his heart on sleeve.
And don't get me wrong, I have much respect for him to be so open about his mental health. Kudos to him for to that.

@Nicki...you sure know your stuff. Thanks for your insight. :)

Adam went live on Instagram after the release of the new song. He answered fan questions and was talking about the new song, how it came to be, the writing session, the album and the Oscars. I understand him, that QAL will play one song. And he looked and sounded happy and content. :)

Empire does not belong to Universal, it's an independent label that his helping Universal with some of their artists. Universal explains it all on their website.

"Under the agreement, UMG and EMPIRE will work together on select artist projects from UMG’s labels that will benefit from EMPIRE’s unique approach to distribution, digital sales, promotion and marketing."

On iTunes USA, UK, and Germany his new song is showing up as being on More Is More/Empire.

"We at M&M hope to carry on the tradition of independent labels that give complete creative control to the artists and to make the recordings accessible to audiences worldwide with whatever technologies are available."

As long as I get new music from Adam I don’t give two fuxx about his label. I‘ve learnt, that the business side is quite complicated and that I‘m not really interested in that stuff. But yes, it sounds, as if this label fits to Adam and what he wants for his music. So that sounds positive.

The new song is found by fans on ITunes and elsewhere. It’s up to #7 in the US and #34 in the U.K., even #79 in Germany (and #2 in Finland 8-) ). That’s good enough for me. :) It will probably peak after the Oscars and then vanish. It might be a kind of test, if the Glamberts are there and what at least to expect from the upcoming single.

I've probably never been so relieved to see him look well. I don't mean as in looks, but he does seem happy and content.
I have another thought about Feel Something after giving it more listens. I wish parts of it wasn't repeated so much.

I wish it didn't sound like a cut and paste Sam Smith song. That is what I thought he was going to do in 2015 but I guess WB vetoed it.

That's the best kind of attitude to have about him. You see what his unrealistic visions did to his mental health.

At the moment, he’s happy. In a professionell and private way. ;)

2015? No. End of 2016 into 2017. That was, when I noticed, that he was down. After Adam came home from a year of touring and X-Factor Australia. He had difficulties to re-connect at home and starting to record new music (Max Martin? Or something he wanted to do? Or whatever.) Then in Summer/ autumn 2017, when he couldn’t release the new music, that had been ready, in his point of view.

At the moment, he’s happy. In a professionell and private way. ;)

I was talking about trying to capitalize on Sam Smith's success by making a copy cat song for The Original High.

I do like the song, and it's better than most of his other songs. Hopefully it will be an eclectic album that doesn't sound like copy cat songs. The Sam Smith thing was pretty predictable so I hope he has some better ideas for the album. PLEASE let him stay away from a Queen sounding song.
