Well you're pretty close to standing alone. But coming from such a big GNR fan I should be surprised ;)

i don't have to like artists that GNR themselves liked ;-)

personally, i think bowies voice was shite. i dont like its tone.

the music itself is too meandering to hold my attention.

give me a good rock song like "nightrain" in stead 8-)

Action, if you don't like him so much, can you just fuck off to a GNR thread and stop being a troll in here?

Brilliant song on a terrible album.

I have to confess something: I absolutely do not understand why SO MANY people refer to Scary Monsters as the best album since... or X is the best album since Scary Monsters... Listened to it today again with headphones... but all I can enjoy is Ashes to Ashes, which is an amazing song. The rest is simply driving me crazy. And not in a good way. Just noise and racket and too many layers of ideas. And I don't feel the need or interest to enjoy all of them.

It's nearly impossible. Half of my list would probably be different if I were making it now. :P

I don't think the album's terrible, but I can see how one would think so compared to his other work. Loving the Alien is definitely the stand-out track.

I like a couple of songs but the rest do nothing for me. Never Let Me Down is a much better album IMO and that's not a really good album. I've been listening to this track a lot lately.

Impossible for me. I know I literally wrote 10 pages of lists and discarded them. Just too many great songs to choose from, and then my mind sometimes changes. Argh :fight1: so much harder than I ever thought it would be.

I thought Blackstar was awful. However since Bowie is currently "cool" it will no doubt sell phenomenally and get lots of faux praise from posers.
