Can we have some capital letters in the man's name please? It's been annoying me for over a year now.

I'll answer my own question here.

The 2016 mix of Life On Mars is effectively de-Ronson-ised. All the guitars have effectively been wiped from this version.
What is left of your dream?
Just the words on your stone.

But forgot how to learn.

I guess because the person remixing it liked Rick Wakeman's piano part a lot more than Mick Ronson's guitar work. Still a bloody good track, whatever.

I can't imagine that song without Ronson's work on it. I don't know if I would even want to listen to it without it.

Nah, it's passable. So good is the piano work, it carries it. If you'd never heard it before, you'd never know.

Couple of my mates managed to blag free tickets to the big in Hull commemorating the Ziggy Stardust album . By all accounts, it was a cracking gig.

never understood the appeal of bowie. it's just depressing anti-music, aimed at musical snobs who want to give the appearance of being intelligent

there is no intelligent music or otherwise. there are only snobs (or nerds) and cool guys, like me

all the cool dudes listen to guns n roses. people like capt dan corsen (or whatever name he goes by at this moment) are so far up their ass his ignorant opinions coming out of it are asking for space

Fanboys like you need music snobs like me. There are enough of us to influence the weak-minded sheep like you, who fail miserably in these online situations when questioned on your musical tastes. You should be grateful.
Yeah, you like Guns 'n Roses, but you're secretly embarrassed about it. Admit it. They are a joke. You know they are insignificant, irrelevant and incredibly cheesy. A nostalgia act that made one average album.
You wouldn't dare speak of Bowie in such disparaging terms if you were faced with a group of intelligent music lovers. You'd know straight away you'd be on to a loser as they collectively stifled a laugh and rejected you.

i'd love to be put in front of a group of intelligent music lovers. i'd shock their dissonant musical mindset with three power chords blasting through my marshall amp, while singing the classic "i dont care about you - fuck you". that would be quite a treat.

bring them on, these grey, lifeless, characterless dumbo's.

Is the video for my benefit? Either way, I wouldn't watch that fucking monkey unless he was being lowered into the ground [again].

not everything is about you, you tool

i'd figured, with a thread about bowie, a little bit of coolness was needed, to get back to the basics of great rock music. i hope it will make some snobs wake up from their demented state and get some blood flowing again (not that i expect much). as for you, you're just a nuisance. funny for a minute, but quickly becoming a tired joke
