Hmmm. What I remember of The Man Who Fell To Earth... The bloke was batshit crazy. Saw Lazarus, and yeah... the bloke is STILL batshit crazy, and Dexter went one hour 50 minutes without killing anybody!

Music was great, and the story kept me awake for nearly two hours, so yeah, I think it was quite good. Particularly liked the way the whole stage was used as a projection screen, and how the characters interacted with the images on the central screen.

The girl was excellent, wasn't she? She's only about 15.

Amy Lennox, no relation to Annie.

As an aside, I think the pairing of Life On Mars with The Man Who Sold The World, makes it David Bowie's best original 7" release, two absolutely MEGA songs, quite possibly my favourite two songs of his, on one single.

Nah, that was the other girl, the one who's his sort of assistant/maid. She was good, but I thought Sophia Anne Caruso, the young girl who plays 'The Girl', Newton's internally generated companion, was fantastic.

To be fair they spend half the show wearing the same clothes, which are in turn the same clothes as Mary-Lou.

...and there's the Queen connection!

I'm off to see Iron Maiden in Dublin in May. Tenuous excuse to go back to the city...

I'm kind of "off" Iron Maiden, largely because of what Bruce does with his free time. So much more noble when he was a B757 pilot with a charter airline, and not nicking business off another company, by "innocently" borrowing all the kit he needed to try and beat the competition, off the competition. He kind of put himself up there with O'Leary by doing that.

Great gig. Bonus was meeting Morgan Fisher who played with Queen and Mott the Hoople. Real nice guy. Saw I was wearing a Thunder T shirt and remembered them from the 2009 reunion tour.

Did a nice tribute to the guy from Mott who died at the weekend. Wonderful version of Saturday Gigs.

The tickets for the show near me go on sale tomorrow but I don't know if I'm going yet. I just got Radiohead tickets last week! Why do all the shows I want to see go on sale around the same time? This always happens to me and I don't even go to many shows anymore.

Just got cheap tickets to see Bon Jovi. Not really a fan but it should be a decent show.
