2017 Gigs.

Postby JLP » Wed Dec 14, 2016 11:17 am

Just been announced that ELO will play in Hull next year as part of the City of Culture celebrations. Will be going along to that for sure. Also already got Thunder in March.
Come on you Tigers.

Down (at the moment) to see Paul Weller at his Reading show, and (don't take the piss!) Phil Collins, at the RAH.

Have you heard any rumours about who else is going to be there? The New York show is only 2 days later so I suspect it'll be different guests each night. I'd have thought Michael C. Hall and Company are dead certs but who else?

Not a clue - it's all very secretive!

Are you going to be there yourself, fella?

I'm not expecting a spectacular lineup, but then that's not really the point, is it?

Yes I'll be there. I found about it literally as tickets went on sale, which happened to be during a break at work, and got tickets extraordinarily easily. I was surprised to find out how quickly they sold out and therefore how lucky I was!

A mate is taking us to see Fun Loving Criminals in Manchester on 4th March. Not a band I've ever listened to, so no idea what to expect.

On the other hand, on 21st May I'm taking my boy to see his first gig - Iron Maiden in Birmingham. It'll be something like the 7th time I've seen them.

Not a gig, but we're hopefully off to see Bowie's Lazarus show tomorrow.

Watch The Man Who Fell To Earth tonight then, if you haven't seen it recently.
