I almost don't know what to think. I'm reading articles in almost disbelief, but I'm sitting here literally sobbing.
He was one of a kind. And was his music ever a part of the soundtrack to my life...and I will promise this, it always will be a soundtrack to my life.
Such a big loss, and such talent he had. So much more than a pop band, or a 'hunk'. He will be missed. His music will live on.
~Godspeed little one~
~Don't talk about angels
Or how I'll be saved
I'm no coward
But I'm not that brave
Rags are blowing
Rain's getting near
I'm done with running
And it's getting dark in here~

~Sleep in peace old friend for me you'll never die~

Yeah, completely shocked at this one.

Only 53, and apparently nothing to do with overdoses. The only thing they've said so far is "pneumonia", and ultimately, despite the fact that Freddie's immune system was shot to ribbons due to that horrendous virus, that's what got him.

Truly, a one of a kind singer and songwriter, with an absolute realm of good music to his credit.

Hell of a thing to come back on line to after today's festivities.

So sorry for his family and loved ones and the world of music..

Dammit.

I'm just gobsmacked.

Like JLP mentioned elsewhere, his performance at the Tribute gig was the highlight of the day.

This has blown my mind! He was my 2nd favorite artist/vocalist of all time behind Freddie!

An ITU admission in 2011 and now he dies "peacefully" aged 53 with no suspicious circumstances.

One doesn't want to speculate on someone's health but it's starting to look like a no-brainer sadly.

6 days to go. 144 hours. We can do this. The Queen and Carrie Fisher can cling on.

I don't think the Queen will make it.

This just sucks! I pre ordered the deluxe edition of Listen Without Prejudice a few months ago on Amazon but they pushed the release date back to March 2017. I wonder if they pushed it back because they knew something was up. I think it originally had a November 2016 release date. So sad!

It's the season finale that it feels like 2016 is working towards.
