Just released The Last Refugee but I'm out of town and I can't get it to post.

What's your take on it? I'm still undecided.

I have this in my queue but haven't had the time I want to devote to it... What are people's general thoughts?

It was a big let down for me. While listening to it I keep hearing old Floyd songs and it's a tad bit annoying. Rehashed Floyd is not what I wanted but it's still a decent album. I really enjoy the last three songs.

I remember hearing that in one of the singles - can't remember which one. I'll have to give it a proper listen - maybe this weekend :)

So what do you think? Can't say it's a bad album but I don't even listen to it anymore.

I only got through it once and I feel that I'll have to give it a few more spins. I don't have a consensus yet. My initial thoughts were that I too thought I might like it more....it's a bit safe for him. A bit heavy on the nostalgia. In some ways I liked that as I think he sometimes goes a bit too far off the reservation as a solo artist - far preferring his work in Floyd with some Gilmour streamlining...but it might make him less effective as a solo artist if that makes sense.

I had it on heavy rotation for over a week and I just think it's OK. It is a bit safe and a bit nostalgic and I guess that's my main problem with it. A lot of it sounds the same to me so that's another problem I have with it. Hate to say it but I think Radio KAOS is a much better album. It sounds dated but I still enjoy it.

I love it. I'm just worried that the references to Trump, drones, etc. will affect its shelf life. But it's a good album - exactly what I was expecting... Mostly.

The song "Wait For Her" caught me completely off-guard. I fell in love with it instantly. It's so far removed from anything Waters has written before that I have a hard time believing it's one of his songs.
