Greta Van Fleet, good rock or Zeppelin clones?

Postby The Milkman » Wed Mar 07, 2018 11:04 pm

I like them but damn they sound a little too much like Zeppelin.

Going just by that, yep Zeppelin is what I thought about too. But I like it, good song I think. :)

The CD was only $5.99 on Amazon so I picked it up.

It's pretty good but it does sound a lot like Zeppelin. What do you think of this cover?

Geo block for the first one perhaps. Second one works, thanks.
I'm glad they don't look or try to look like Zeppelin if you know what I mean. The Darkness even try to copy the look of glam rock, I think. I think these GVF are pretty dang cool, going to check out them some more.
I really like those two covers. I'm partial to the Adele one more.

They're young so maybe they will find their own sound. GVF are two twins that are 21, another brother that is 18, and a friend that is 18.

I didn't realize they were that young. And if they sound like Zeppelin ish...well worst music out there than Zepp to be influenced by.

Rush's first album also still sounded a lot like Zeppelin... ;)

They're still very young and we'll see how they develop. For now I think their songs are great and it's so nice to get new Zeppelin-like music today! Furthermore, their first album is coming out this year...it's crazy how much success they already have now before their first album.

I saw them in March in Berlin live and I was quite impressed - great live band and the singer keeps what he promises on the record, amazing voice! The rest of the band is also very talented...I'm excited to see how they will develop over the next years.

Lol, sounds like "Kashmir" with some weird filter over it...this is partly like really copying LZ. GvF sound like Zeppelin (though not all songs, just two of the three "hits" so far), but not exactly like this or that song, more like if Zeppelin made new material.

But interesting, I heard of that band before in that context.

zeppelin is such a fucking overrated band anyway. They have a couple of great rock riffs, but far too much folk / obscure stuff to keep my attention. None of their albums swing or are any kind of fun.
I see you standing there. You think you so cool. Why don't you just..... fuck off!
