A handful of examples- find your own youtube links, I'm afraid. Some famous names, some obscure ones

Bruce Dickinson & Montserrat Caballe - Bohemian Rhapsody
Brian Setzer Orchestra - Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox - Don't Stop Me Now
I Want To Break Free - Holly Wilson ( she has a whole album of Queen songs covered in a bossa nova style)
Susannah Hoffs & Matthew Sweet - Killer Queen
The Melvins - Now I'm Here (surprisingly few covers of this)
Electric Six - Radio Ga Ga
Lost Lobos - Sleeping On The Sidewalk
Garth Brooks - Somebody To Love
Joss Stone - Under Pressure
The Struts - We Will Rock You
That's allot of recommendations!

Enuff Z'nuff put out an album of covers titled Covered In Gold. The release includes what I think is the best cover of Stone Cold Crazy.

In the last 20 years or so there have been some pretty good albums of cover songs released by bands. These releases usually focus on one style of music or at least a specific space in time. Two of the best were by Styx and Def Lep which almost hurts saying because I don't generally care for those bands.

Anyways, the covers album by Enuff Z'nuff is fun because it covers multiple genres and eras. It also is not dedicated to time tested chestnuts but has some some oddball choices and obscure songs. Included are music icons Prince & Bowie, rockers Nirvana & The Cult, diverse solo artists John Lennon & David Lee Roth, pop rockers Cheap Trick & Billy Squire. Motown is represented with Smokey Robinson and even TV themes are here with the opening song from The Greatest American Hero. The icing on top for me is Queen and The Beatles.

BTW, don't judge Enuff Z'nuff because of their horrible big hair ballad! Their album "10" is an enjoyable romp in powerpop park.

Listen to "The Ol' Switcheroo" by The Struts and you'll hear a part lifted from "The Miracle".

Which part? Just listened to it. Is it a chord progression I'm missing?

The melody in the outro of the Miracle reminds me of the chorus in Switcheroo
