A pity it's all over though. Hopefully there will be a new tour just around the corner. :)

They expect to be touring the UK again next year (based on comments they've made) and I can't imagine that they won't play the ANATO setlist again. I just wish they would bring it to North America! :sigh:

Photo album with 60+ pics from the Gloucester show. (The other band in the pics is Yellowire, the opening act.)

Great final show tonight on the Queen Extravaganza tour of the UK.

It was in Gloucester.

I was happy to be in the audience - it was well worth the trip.

They performed the album “A Night at the Opera” in its entirety !

I don’t think I’ll ever hear The Prophet’s Song played to that degree of excellence again.

Great musicianship, great dedication to detail, and nice presentation all round.

Well done QE team. Rock on !

Seems like it! When QE started off I got the impression that this was Rogers project mostly. I think it took some time for QE to win over Brian. He stated that he is not likely to see a better live version of The Prophets song again ever. Fun to see him there to give them some well deserved credit! :)

Sometimes I tend to take things too literally. I sure hope he doesn't mean to imply QE's ANATO gigs will not be done elsewhere. What a shame that would be!! :-(

I think they will perform it again. So don't you worry! :)

I also watched a great version of Sweet Lady on the official fan clubs fan club page. I dont think I can link to the video. You need to like the page to watch it I think.

I think it still is mostly Roger's project as far as deciding which direction the band should go in. The band talks about Roger far more than they do Brian, and Roger has attended several QE shows whereas I think this is the first one Brian has attended. (I can't remember if he went to any of the early North American shows, and if he has been to any of the shows since then, no one noticed till now. ;) )

There has to be a word to describe what the Queen Extravaganza is, but it's more than a tribute band. It's unlike any other tribute band in history, that I know of.
What other world famous group of musicians, or anyone else for that matter, personally picked, groomed, funded, and sent to nearly every corner of the globe, much like a 'parent' often supplying Queen's own personal stage equipment, lighting, archival footage, putting them in first class hotels and all the other provisions most performers need years to afford?

The talents of those musicians are extraordinary. We all say that all the time.
This is Queen's Mini Me. It's a tribute, for sure. Darn near bordering on their living legacy.
