Marc says on one of his fb pages that he was asked to make a video on how to sound like Freddie Mercury. So, just uploaded today, with over 15,000 views already, here it is.

Sometimes when he isn't trying, more often when he is.

He certainly seems to have an interesting handle on Fred's voice. I wonder if he came up with all that on his own, or if Roger gave him some input.

From Marc:

"We're THERE man! (Dumb And Dumber reference, for those not in the know). Back in the U.K. with the old crew, and not too terrible jet lag! Every time I come here it feels less and less foreign, and more like an old familiar second home. Loving the cool, damp weather, and knowing I've escaped El Niño for a month. My mom's side of the family is British, so it's in me blood I suppose!

Today, we're in Redditch for a production rehearsal. Our fabulous crew are almost done getting everything set up, and the inevitable first-setup snags ironed out, before we crank it up for a full show run-through. Afterwards, they'll tear it all down again, and we'll load up the bus for our overnight drive to Plymouth for show #1 tomorrow! Woohoo!"

After what Brian May said about that sort of thing in that 70's quote I posted in his tour cancellation thread, I'm beginning to feel that might not be the best thing to say anymore.

Mitch Malloy had to cancel the remainder of his European tour a couple of weeks ago after hurting one of his legs for the second time in about 2 months, and he's on rest leave for a bit.

Repressed stress has an unpredictable way of popping it's cork in the most inconvenient ways.

Thanks for linking to all these videos. Looks like they were on top form! Especially Marc sounded on top of his game. It would be fun to see this band on a bigger stage with 5000-10000 people. It is a different game that I think would suit them well. I dont know how that could happen, but I think festivals/warm up or something. Any chance of that happening you think?

I doubt it. Seems like Roger/Queen & Co. want to play it safe. :( They had that kind of audience in North America here and there, and I KNOW they'd get audiences that big in Brazil but who knows what the Boss's plans are.

Here's a comment from Marc about last night' show:

Plymouth!
What a first show! At one point during the concert, I stepped off side-stage during one of the tunes one of the other guys sings - can't remember which - and told Paul Bond, our tour manager (yes, that's his real name, and he's been there with us every glorious step since 2012), that I felt this was our best first-show-of-tour yet. Like riding a bike, I tell ya. First nights are typically a little, um, revealing of things you inevitably have forgotten and need to brush up on. Especially after a year off.
A clear stand-out moment for me was the newest addition to the set list: "I Was Born To Love You." Nothing like a new song to inject extra energy into the performance. Such a fun song to perform! Queen + Adam Lambert performed it a few times this year to great crowd response, so we figured we'd give it a whirl. Looking forward to really dialing that one in and truly making it "ours."
Right! Who's next? Salisbury!

Considering they just did this at Freddie's birthday bash it's not QUITE like being off a year.
